The De Niro / Pesci pairing is just perfect. Of course it has such an evil side, but gets me every time. These movies in a very strange way always make me wish I'd been part of that life. I just love that this (along with Goodfellas) is so closely tied to real life events. The music, the actors, the scenes, everything he does is just perfect. Scorsese just has a way of making a movie.
Can't count the number of times I've watched them.
I put them very close together (Goodfellas a little higher).
