I have know idea what the $35 resort fee is for, certainly not pool amenities or TV service. Casino and restaurants are okay but my recommendation would be to sleep off property. New Years Eve Celebration with Rhythm Nation is set to take place at Access, located within the lavish Aliante Casino & Hotel in North Las Vegas, NV. I took my kids to a celebratory dinner on Saturday night and as usual they asked to go to Aliante buffet because they love it. Not sure if this is a housekeeping service or not, either way just another inconvenience and annoyance. I had probably one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had in my life tonight at Aliante buffet. On this particular morning we were also woken up at 6:00 by an alarm clock that we did not set and could hear the alarm in the vacant room next door go off within 5 minutes. It was obvious by the professionally produced sign that this is not an uncommon occurrence.
The regular hours of the pool are 10:00 to 7:00 and after killing a morning to wait until they open, we were greeted with a sign that delayed the opening until 11:00. The front desk workers I have had are borderline rude, the kings size beds are undersized and are comparable to sleeping on a futon, no cable TV only local channels with spotty reception and the pool hours are ridiculous for a 'resort and spa' experience. I have stayed several times expecting it to get better but it doesn't. Aliante appears very nice when you arrive and the front entrance valet greeters make you feel welcomed but the experience ends there.
